It would be directed to this age group because of the adult comedy in this show as kids wouldn't understand the jokes and meanings behind messages. Directed to males and females as it has humour for males and females.
It would be directed to this age group because of the amount of gore and blood and the sexual activities in the show. Its mainly directed to males because of the bloodshed and brains getting blown up from smashing zombie heads. It wouldn't be directed to elders since they are sensitive towards gore.
The target audience for GOW would be teens to adults as well as males. Around ages from 16-25
It would be directed to this age group because of the amount of action and gore in the game, from heads getting chopped off to blood and guts splattering everywhere. It is mainly directed to males because of the sheer amount of blood, fighting and action.
The target audience for Overwatch would be teens to young adults and males to females. Around ages from 12-18
It would be directed to this age group because of the action and the fact there isn't any gore or blood in the game. The cartoonish graphics of the game make it appeal to the younger teens. Its directed to any gender due to the fact that that it has both male and female characters in the game.
The target audience for Pokemon would be kids to young teens, its also directed to both females and males. Around the ages from 1-13
It would be directed to this age group because of the cuteness of the Pokemon and how kid friendly these Pokemon games are. Pokemon games are directed to both males and females since there is plenty of action packed battles between Pokemon but also plenty of cute Pokemon for those that don't enjoy battles as much.
The target audience for the Daily Mail would be British people and the age ranges would be around 18-30, also it would be directed to people who support the conservatives.
It would be directed to British people because of the news and info that affect and apply to British people. The news probably wont apply to the younger British audience as they wouldn't understand what the news means. The news would mainly affect and interest young adults and adults. It is directed to people who support the conservatives because the daily mail is very biased about the conservatives, it is very right winged. Since the conservatives are against immigration, this would affect people aged 18-30 as many immigrants would take up most of the jobs.
The target audience for The Guardian would be people who support the Labour party.
It would be directed to people who support the Labour party because the news from the Guardian shares info mainly about the Labour party, so this would encourage people to watch the guardian for political news. Age ranges from 18-45 since the Labour part is based on work so it would apply for people that work.
The target audience for Fox News would be American people as the channel is shown mainly in America.
It would be directed to American people because the news from Fox News is very hyped up and the people of America like news that's very exaggerated and over the top.
Some good identification of target audiences, but you are a little too focused at times on age groups, so for the BBT can you identify another measure for the target audience besides age? Consider the genre of the programme and people's interests. And for the Fox News Channel (which isn't a media text, but a station on which media texts are shown) you have said "American people" as the target audience- again too wide- reply to this post an identify more focused target audiences for these two products.
ReplyDeleteTBBT has other target audiences, for example it could interest people that enjoy science, since most of TBBT actors have some sort of PHD and study a certain subject in science. Also it could interest people that like comedy as TBBT is indeed a comedy sitcom. Furthermore it could catch the interests of people that read comics and the whole DC/MARVEL universe in general because some of the characters really enjoy the whole superhero genre. Lastly it could target people that have similar lives to the characters, how the characters are "nerdy", geniuses that are trying to find love in their lives.
DeleteAs for Fox News, the target audience could interest people that enjoy crazy stories and exaggerated news that makes it greatly more interesting. It targets people that are extremely gullible and are easily put fear into. In addition it could also interest people that are very patriotic, as Fox News tends to show news that are very "trendy" and huge; Donald Trump is someone that people know from countries that aren't even close to America implying that Fox News will show Donald Trump often which could suggest that Fox News targets Trump supporters or people that are interested in voting.
